Christmas Light Parade & Other Stuff

Here are some random Christmas time pictures and pictures of the Richfield Light Parade!
Kaylen is ready for winter!

Mom, Kamie, and Tricia went to see the Forgotten Carols and left Kaylen with Grandpa. This is how we found Kaylen when we got back. Zonked out in the middle of a doorway. They must have had fun!

Checking out the tree!

Still checking out the Christmas tree!

Jackson, Jess, and Kaylen having sandwiches and watching T.V.

They had no idea there was anything actually in the boxes. It was so funny. We would say, "What's in that box? A toy?" and they would say, "No, it's a present!" So funny. But they never tried to open them!

December has been soooooo cold. Here is a picture of the temp, 16 below, as I was leaving for work one morning. Brrrrrr.

In December we went to see the Mormon Tabernacle Choir/Natalie Cole Christmas concert. It was so much fun and the concert was so beautiful. We loved it! Hollie, Jackson, & Jess attempted to shop, but it was too cold and Jess wasn't having fun. So they just stayed in the hotel until everyone got back. :) Sadly, this is the only picture I got of the whole trip. Jess looking bored in the hotel. But we did have fun! The next morning was Hollie's birthday. We shopped and ate a fun lunch and shopped some more.

Kaylen finally kept his hat on. We had to tell him he looked like Ralphie from A Christmas Story or he wouldn't leave it on.

Kaylen loved seeing Santa at the Light Parade!

The Elf on the Shelf

This year The Elf on the Shelf came to visit Jackson, Jess, and Kaylen. He was delivered in a package that came from the North Pole (with a lot of stops along the way.) The elf came to keep an eye on the boys and make sure they were being good for Santa! The elf flew back to the North Pole every night and had a new hiding place every morning. They boys loved looking for him. They left him notes for Santa and Santa sent them notes in return. We had so much fun and can't wait to see Freddie the Elf next Christmas!

Freddie came in box from the North Pole that had been all over the world before arriving on Grandma and Grandpa's door step.

Opening up the package! So exciting!

Our very favorite place that Freddie found to hide!

Thanksgiving Weekend

On Friday after Thanksgiving Annie, Kamie, Cecelia, Rachel, & Mary woke up early to shop the Black Friday sales. Crazy. But they had fun. Then we went up to Main Street to see Santa Claus arrive on the fire truck. The boys were so excited to wave at him. Later in the day we went to sit on Santa's lap and tell him what the boys wanted for Christmas. They had so much fun. Kaylen climbed right up on his lap, but Jess wasn't so sure. We finally talked him into it. Finally on that Friday, Austin played in a fooball tournament, so we went and sat in the cold and enjoyed his game.

Veterans Day

This is a little out of order...oh well. :) On Veterans Day Hollie, Jess, Mom, and Dad went to the cemetery to put Grandpa Bill's flag up. The city had people there to help families with the flags. Mom, dad, and Hollie thought it was very cool, so here are the pictures from that day.

Thanksgiving

We had a great Thanksgiving this year! We all ate too much, but I think that's what you are suppose to do. :)

Grandma Alicia told Jackson she would give him 20 bucks if he did all the dishes. She never thought he'd take her up on the offer, but he did. He spent more than an hour doing dishes. He recruited Kaylen to help (i'm sure he was very helpful)

Jacks and Kaylen still cleaning!

Mom's super fantastic layer Jello. No one dared eat it because we didn't want to ruin it!

Halloween 2009

We had a fun Halloween! Jess was Buzz Lightyear, Jackson was Commander Fox from Star Wars, and Kaylen was Nemo. The boys had so much fun trick or treating! Jess and Kaylen tried to go into every house and visit. :) We went to the scary Halloween house and Kaylen wanted to go right in, but Jess was scared and had to be carried. With all the snow a few days ago we thought it would be cold and nasty, but it was a nice night. We had so much fun!

Pumpkins! Jackson carved the one with the flame eyes all by himself! He is an excellent pumpkin carver!
